Vice-Chancellor Prof. John D. Kalenga Saka dated members of the University’s international student community to share our vision of becoming a globalised university that offers an increasingly high-quality international teaching and learning experience. “Internationalisation is key to MZUNI’s growth and sustainability as it fosters international academic exchange through teaching, learning and research collaborations. Hosting international scholars and academics also positively transforms the character of our University, impacts the socio-cultural fabric of Mzuzu City and communities in which we work, and contributes to Malawi’s economic growth,” said Prof. Saka during the meeting. On their part, the scholars highlighted the importance of establishing an International Students’ body at the University to facilitate their interaction with each other and participation in University activities.
