MZUNI STUDENT PICKED FOR A 5 YEAR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM WITH GRANDPEN PUBLICATION

   
   
   
         
   

When it comes to chasing aspirations, some individuals are opportunistic enough to breakthrough from the ordinary and crack  for opportunities in the pursuit of their dreams, this alone is an evident of how Joana Sophie Chagunda, a BA in communication studies 2nd year student was picked among other students to partake a 5 year internship program with Grandpen publication (an international online media that promotes the culture of writing and reading among university students across Africa) as an assistant editor


The development comes after a vacancy that was published on the internet lobbying those in different universities whose passion ranges writing (prose or literally work) to reading to apply for the post. The vacancy only had six empty seats to be filled by those who would successful upon sending their CVs and interviews. Among the 6, 3 students are from the Chancellor College,  from Domasi Teachers Training College, 1 from University of Livingstonia and another from African Bible College.


According to Chagunda, who is also a poet and a short story writer, the offer will sharpen her writing skills and probably open more opportunities for her in near future
‘I am so much delighted to part of the GrandPen’s editorial team because I know that I will learn a lot and apart from that, I will be more confident and knowledgeable enough to tackle different challenging tasks that might be assigned to me related to my field and to my passion as a writer’’ said Chagunda
Meanwhile, the Founder of Grandpen publication, Joseph Loga stressed that the opportunity will benefit aspiring writers


‘’GrandPen Publications being an international community of Writers, will provide aid and network forth to the selected students, aspiring writers and those interested in writing; supportive and encouraging environment for the discussion and sharing of members’ work; opportunities and events which enable them in their future careers
During the internship, the selected students would be assigned tasks and projects that improve their understanding of the concepts they learned in college also based on their professional and skill set further the student shall get 12% of the remunerations of all the projects and initiatives that the organization will make during the 5year period

GrandPen Publications is an international online media group was founded by Joseph Loga, whose vision is to help 500 upcoming writers from different universities across Africa get published ,become authors and be known all over the world.
